Fox on both Stuart Little movies, Jonathan was invited to the Back To The Future DVD launch and cast reunion party which took place last night in Universal City. Stuart Little 2 & Like Mike Released Tomorrow

The US DVD release date for both Like Mike and Stuart Little 2 is tomorrow, Tuesday December 10 2002. You can already pre-order both movies at Amazon. Unfortunately, in the UK there is still a while to go before either DVD's are released, since Stuart Little 2 is still running at movie theaters, and Like Mike won't be hitting cinemas until December 13.

Yesterday, December 8, Jonathan was in London with his family for the British premiere of Like Mike at The Odeon in Leicester Square, before heading over to Planet Hollywood for the after party. Harry Potter Premiere 11.16.2002   Jonathan was spotted at the premiere for the second Harry Potter movie on November 14, at Mann's Village Theatre. The movie is the follow up to last year's Harry Potter & The Sorcerers Stone but don't go thinking this is the last one, there's still five more to come!

Tomorrow Jonathan will be spending the day in Washington, DC, for the 2002 NBA Read To Achieve. The charity event, sponsored by the NBA, is to teach children the values of reading and writing, and to encourage learning and development. When Zachary Beaver Came To Town

Jonathan starts filming his new movie When Zachary Beaver Came To Town this fall. The movie is to be based on the novel by Kimberly Willis Holt, about an overweight young boy named Zachary Beaver. Beaver is is taken to Texas by his legal guardian where he is turned into a pay-per-view freak show due to his size. Jonathan will play the character Toby Wilson, a 13-year-old boy who befriends the overweight Zachary Beaver when he arrives in Antler, Texas. Casting is almost complete and filming will begin at the end of September in and around the Austin area. Any more news will be brought to you right away.

Will Jonathan Lipnicki's 15 Minutes Ever End?

As if Jonathan doesn't have enough on his plate right now with Stuart Little 2 and Like Mike both having been released this month, Jonny has just confirmed that he will be shooting a new movie towards the end of this year called When Zachary Beaver Came To Town. The movie will be directed by John Schultz, who Jonny has just finished working with on Like Mike.

According to an article on the FilmJerk website,

"Jonathan Lipnicki's newest project, When Zachary Beaver Came To Town is based on the National Book Award and Newbery Prize-winning novel by Kimberly Willis Holt.

Lipnicki will play Toby Wilson, a thirteen year old in Antler, Texas, who finds his world in upheaval after his mother leaves to become a singer in Nashville, and the girl of his dreams barely acknowledges his existence. Of course, Toby's life will make a turn for the better, and the catalyst for that change is Zachary Beaver, who travels with a sideshow billed as The World's Fattest Kid. The two young men will naturally help each other out in ways they never could have done alone."

Jonathan Lipnicki Wants To Be A Director

Stuart Little 2 star Jonathan Lipnicki says he'd really like to become a director when he grows up. The eleven-year-old says he's already making his own films on his video camera. Lipnicki plays George Little in the Stuart Little sequel which is released in the UK today.

"I'd really like to direct," he said. "I'd like to try every aspect behind the camera and in front of the camera too."

But Lipnicki admits at the moment he's still enjoying his acting career.

"I enjoy the idea of being somebody else and not just yourself every day," he said. "You get to wear somebody else's life which is pretty interesting."

Dedications & Donations

It's been a busy two days for Jonathan and a life-sized Stuart Little. On July 17, Jonathan and "Plucky" as he's known, were in Central Park, New York City for a second bench dedication to E. B. White, author of the original Stuart Little story. The first bench dedication took place last year in conjunction with the release of the first Stuart Little movie, this second one being on behalf of the cast and crew from Stuart Little 2. Then, earlier today, Jonathan was at NYC's FAO Schwarz toy store to sign autographs with his on-screen mom Geena Davis, and to make a public donation to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. $133,062.33 was raised from the premiere of Stuart Little 2 earlier this month, and was gratefully received by the children's charity. Jonathan Shaves His Head! 07.15.2002   Jonathan Lipnicki shocked fans yesterday, July 14, at the Stuart Little 2 premiere by showing up with a dramatic new hairdo. "I can feel the wind go by, and I feel a lot lighter," says Jonathan of his new shaved head. The premiere took place at Mann's Village Theatre, 961 Broxton Avenue, Westwood at 10:00am. Movie Premieres 06.28.2002   Over the last two days Jonathan has been out and about in Westwood, LA for two movie premiere's. On June 26 Jonny was at the Men In Black 2 premiere, to be followed yesterday by the world premiere of Jonathan's latest movie Like Mike. Both premieres were held at Mann's Village Theatre, with a temporary basketball court being set up to celebrate the release of Like Mike. Stuart Little Throws Out First Pitch

Yesterday, June 19, Jonathan and a life-sized Stuart Little made an appearance at the Dodger stadium in Los Angeles. Stuart Little was there to throw the first pitch in the baseball game between the Dodgers and the Toronto Blue Jays. Jonathan went along to join in with the fun, hang out with the players, and sign a few autographs. Gala Event Honoring Army Archerd 04.27.2002   Yesterday, April 26, Jonathan attended and spoke at a gala event to honor the start of Army Archerd's 50th year at Daily Variety. Like Mike

Filming started on January 3 in Los Angeles for the upcoming sports comedy from 20th Century Fox, Like Mike. Making his feature film starring debut, teen hip hop sensation, Lil Bow Wow portrays fourteen-year-old orphan Calvin Cambridge, who dreams of being a famous professional basketball player. But his diminutive stature and limited ability make this goal a far-off fantasy. Or is it? When Calvin dons a pair of old sneakers, with the faded initials 'M.J.' inscribed inside, he displays amazing hoop skills, and leads a struggling NBA team to victory. The movie is due for release in the US on July 12 2002, exactly a week before Stuart Little 2. The film features several NBA players portraying themselves (Allen Iverson, among others) though it is not yet known whether Michael Jordan will be appearing himself. The story was written by Mike Elliot and is being directed by John Schultz (Drive Me Crazy).
