Knights Of Impossingworth Park

Jonathan has just landed a major role in the 2005 movie, Knights Of Impossingworth Park as the character Mike. Filming will begin in Vietnam in early January 2005 before heading over to London, England by the end of February or beginning of March. A book will also be released alongside the film, most likely towards the end of 2005. Keep checking back here for any news and updates on that project!

Heartland Film Festival

Heartland Film Festival in Indianapolis is taking place from October 21 - 29. The non-profit festival "recognizes and honors filmmakers whose work explores the human journey by artistically expressing hope and respect for the positive values of life" and will be screening Jonathan's movie, When Zachary Beaver Came To Town, a total of 14 times over one week. Jonathan will be attending the film festival to promote the movie which has been nominated for the Crystal Heart Award for 'Dramatic Feature' along with five other films. Breast Cancer Benefit

Volleyball For Breast Cancer

Yesterday Jonathan took part in a breast cancer awareness celebrity volleyball game as part of the AVP Nissan Series Hermosa Beach Open at the Hermosa Beach Pier. Jonathan's winning team, which included celebrities such as B2K and Kerri Walsh, presented a cheque of $50,000 to The Breast Cancer Awareness Foundation at the end of the game, to an applauding crowd of fans and supporters. The Revenge Of The Mummy Ride Opening 06.27.2004   On Thursday June 24 Jonathan attended the opening of the new ride The Revenge Of The Mummy at Universal Studios in Hollywood. His mother and sister also went along. The ride is based on the movies, The Mummy and The Mummy Returns. Jonathan joined Los Angeles Mayor James Hahn as well as other stars including Brendan Fraser and Thora Birch for a benefit for The Next Generation Council of the Motion Picture and Television Fund and LA Family Housing.

Newport International Film Festival

On Saturday June 12 Jonathan was at a screening of When Zachary Beaver Came To Town at the Newport International Film Festival. This was possibly the last screening of the indie-movie before it's national release, although this has not yet been confirmed.

New Info About Zachary Beaver

As many of you will know, When Zachary Beaver Came To Town was screened again yesterday as part of the second weekend of the Tribeca Film Festival. The movie has been doing the film festival circuit for quite some time now, and is unlikely to be shown at any more, with the possible exception of Newport International Film Festival which takes place in June. (We will know the Newport line-up in a week or two).

When Zachary Beaver Came To Town was made as an independent film, meaning it was privately financed and was not intended for immediate distribution. However, after being shown at a variety of prestigious festivals and receiving amazing reviews, distribution is apparently not far off and the makers have no worries about it being picked up. Tribeca Film Festival

Jonathan attended the New York premiere of When Zachary Beaver Came To Town on Saturday May 1 as part of the Tribeca Film Festival. Co-star Eric Stoltz and director John Schultz, along with several other members of the cast and crew, were also present for the screening which took place at 4:15pm at the Regal Entertainment UA Theatre, Battery Park, NYC. The festival continues next weekend and includes another showing of When Zachary Beaver Came To Town at 12:45pm on Sunday May 9. Vail Film Festival: April 1 -4

The Vail Film Institute hosted the first Vail Film Festival from April 1 - 4 in the Colorado ski resort town. Jonathan took advantage of the location, participating in some of the sports they had to offer, such as snowboarding. On April 3 was a screening of Jonathan's movie When Zachary Beaver Came To Town, with a discussion with Lipnicki and John Schultz the director taking place afterwards. The movie was such a popular choice for visitors that too many tickets were sold and the show time had to be moved back half an hour so that they could transfer to a larger screen! Jonathan's performance in the movie has been praised countless times.

Frankie Muniz hosted his 2nd Annual HoopLA Celebrity Charity basketball game yesterday. Muniz's squad, which included Dallas Mavericks' boss Mark Cuban and, for the second year running, Jonathan Lipnicki, cruised to victory. Other celebrities who played included Steve Howey, Aldis Hodge, Bryan Cranston and professional boxer Mia St. John among others. The proceeds will benefit the Starlight Children's Foundation, which improves the quality of life for seriously ill children and their families. Jonathan will be attending the premiere of The Prince And Me on Sunday, March 28. Guests and other attendees will arrive at Grauman's Chinese Theatre in Hollywood Blvd. at 5:00pm, for the showing at 6:00pm. East Lansing Children's Film Festival 02.28.2004   Last night Jonathan was in East Lansing to see another showing of his movie, When Zachary Beaver Came To Town. The screening was part of the Seventh Annual East Lansing Children's Film Festival which is running up until tomorrow. There were two showings of the movie, at 4:30pm and 7:00pm which Jonathan attended with the movie's director John Schultz, at the NCG Cinema in Eastwood Towne Centre. Shooting For Charity

The Phoenix Suns and NBA are teaming up with Hollywood to host the 4th Annual Reebok NBA Celebrity Shootout, presented by Robert and Carole Machiz. The exhibition basketball game, which will take place at America West Arena, Phoenix, on Sunday March 7, 12:30pm, will feature stars from the music, television and movie industries, including Jonathan, who will be duelling it out on the court to benefit Suns Nite Hoops and Cox Charities. Joining the celebrities will be the entire Phoenix Suns team as well as the Suns Dancers, Gorilla and Zoo Crew. All tickets are general admission and only $7.50. Tickets can be purchased through Ticketmaster on the site, or by calling 480-784-4444, and at the America West Arena Box Office. Doors open at 11:00am.

LA Riot Release

Visionbox Media, who are distributing Jonathan's next movie The LA Riot Spectacular, have been in touch. They are all huge fans of Jonathan and are very excited about his involvement with the movie. Costume Designers Guild Awards

Tomorrow, Saturday February 21, Jonathan Lipnicki will be attending the Costume Designers Guild Awards at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills. The awards, in their sixth year running, recognize excellence in 2003 costume design in five categories of film, television and commercials. Geena Davis, who played Jonathan's character George's mother in both Stuart Little films, will be presenting an award, as will other famous faces such as Julie Andrews and Jamie Lee Curtis. Angelica Houston will be mistress of ceremonies for her fourth year. Celebrity guests will arrive in the hotel lobby at 5:00pm. There will be a dinner at 7:00pm, before the award show begins in the International Ballroom at 8:00pm.

Jonathan has been in Canada for the Victoria International Film and Festival (VIFVF), for screenings of his indie-movie When Zachary Beaver Came To Town.

"Seriously campers, how could you not want a kid, not want to shoplift the pooty, after seeing Jonathan Lipnicki tear into the hearts of millions as Renée Zellweger's son Ray in Cameron Crowe's wonderful Jerry Maguire? Jonathan Lipnicki will, for the second year in a row, be taking part in Frankie Muniz' charity HoopLA to benefit Starlight Children's Foundation. The HoopLA basketball match will take place on Sunday, March 14 2004 at Los Angeles Sports Arena. Doors open at 12:15pm, with a 1:00pm tip-off. Tickets are on sale now through Ticketmaster for $10.00 and $25.00. Also, on the topic of basketball, Jonathan will be attending the 2004 NBA All-Star Game on February 15 at 8:00pm ET at the Staples Center, Los Angeles. Stuart Little 3

The mousey adventures of Stuart Little are going to be made into a third movie that will go straight to video. After the loses of the second Stuart Little movie, Douglas Wick, the producer and co-writer, has decided that it would be far too expensive to put Stuart Little 3 into movie theatres.

Although the creators hope to have Michael J. Fox return as the voice of Stuart the mouse, Jonathan Lipnicki and the rest of the 'human cast' will not be in this film as it will be entirely animated.

The LA Riot Spectacular

Jonathan Lipnicki is to appear in a new movie called The LA Riot Spectacular, written and directed by Marc Klasfeld. It is a satire, based around the LA riots which followed the Rodney King beating in the early 90's (where white LA police officers beat a black man lying on the ground). The movie shows the "ridiculousness, ludicrousness, and silliness behind the racial hatred that occurred around the Rodney King beating and subsequent events," and poses the question, 'Why can't we all just get along?' Snoop Dog narrates, in a rap style, the events which are taking place in the film. He says, "I don't think there was anything funny about the riots ... what I'm trying to do is more satirical ... It's not really a joke, though I'm using comedy to make a point." Jonathan plays a young Nazi called Tom Saltine Jr. which is why he currently has his hair in a mohawk. Filming has been completed, in a mere fifteen days, and the movie is now in post-production, and will be shown on the film festival circuit before being distributed by Visionbox Media Group later this year. The expected rating is R, due to language and violence.

Teacher's Pet Premiere 01.12.2004   Last night, Sunday January 11, in his first public appearance of 2004, Jonathan attended the US premiere of Teacher's Pet at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood, California. Jonathan's mother and sister also went along to see the movie. Jonathan stepped out with a brand new bleached mohawk, due to his role in his new movie which he has been shooting this month. KidFilm Festival

The KidFilm Festival is currently running in Dallas, Texas. The Festival began January 5, continuing until January 18, and features classic and contemporary children's films. Look out for a special showing of When Zachary Beaver Came To Town on January 17, which Jonathan will be attending along with the author of the novel on which the film was based, Kimberly Willis Holt.
