After School

Jonathan is about to begin working on his first professional project as, not only an actor, but also co-producer! The documentary titled After School is about the rising number of young female teachers having affairs with their teenage students. Owen LaFave, husband of Debra LaFave who has admitted to having relations with a 14-year-old pupil, is working with the documentary team, which also includes Jonny's mother Rhonda as associate producer. The idea is to create a film within the documentary wherein Jonathan will play the 14-year-old student. For more information visit the official After School website.

Jonathan's A Work Of Art

On the evening of Saturday September 24, as part of the San Diego Film Festival, Jonathan attended the 944 Magazine Actors Ball. Jonathan got to meet contemporary pop artist Jamie Roxx, who had painted fantastic portraits of some of the celebrities in attendance, including Jonathan. Jamie says of Jonathan,

"He has really grown into a great 15 year old. He was funny. And his mom is so sweet and his sister is super cool too. Oh, and the really good thing, not only did he and his family love this painting, they ordered some more. So that is always a good thing."

Pets And Their Stars

Last night, September 21, Jonathan attended a charity event in Hollywood called Pets And Their Stars. The event was held at the Cabana Club and was to honor pet activist Pamela Anderson for her dedication to pet charities across the US.

Proceeds from the event are going to several different animal charities. Jonathan took his dog Edgar, however Jonny's other two dogs, Misty and Taz, stayed at home because, according to Jonathan's mom, "they're not so well behaved!"

San Diego Film Festival

Your Chiropractic Center 08.26.2005   Jonathan Lipnicki was only five when he played the role of Ray Boyd in Jerry Maguire, which earned him the 1996 Best Child Performer of the Year award. Now fourteen, Jonathan has since starred in several other films including Stuart Little, Stuart Little 2, Like Mike and The Little Vampire. Jonathan is a strong advocate for chiropractic care and has been receiving regular care since he was an infant. He stays well by seeing his chiropractic doctor weekly. Recently Jonny has been very busy playing water polo at the summer program for the high school he will attend in the fall, and is having a great time.

Jonathan's upcoming movie Knights Of Impossingworth Park is now set to shoot in October in London and Vietnam. The postponement from earlier this year was due to the fact that Sir Ben Kingsley has a film currently shooting that won't finish until then. Jonny had the pleasure of meeting Sir Ben and is thrilled at the chance to work with him.

Jeff Foxworthy Reruns

From July 23, The Jeff Foxworthy Show will be airing on Nick at Nite in a regularly-scheduled timeslot of 10:00pm to 12:00am ET/PT on Saturday's. Jonathan's role on the show as Justin Foxworthy was his first major TV role, so this is an opportunity to catch a glimpse of some of Jonathan's earliest work.

Also, for those fans that missed Jonathan being interviewed on 100 Greatest Kid Stars last month, the five-hour special is being repeated on VH1 on Sunday July 31, starting at 3:00pm.

Last night, June 27, Jonathan was reunited with Tom Cruise at the War Of The World Los Angeles Fan Screening at Grauman's Chinese Theatre in Hollywood. Lipnicki and Cruise worked together during 1995 on Jerry Maguire which was Jonathan's first ever movie role. 100 Greatest Kid Stars 06.12.2005   Starting tomorrow night at 9:00pm, in a five part special, VH1 will be counting down the top 100 child stars. The shows are each an hour long, and hosted by Christopher Knight (who places at number 20) and are part of VH1's long running series, The Greatest. Jonathan Lipnicki fans should definitely watch on June 17 at 9:00pm to catch a cool interview with Jonathan, who is ranked at number 13, above other stars such as Elijah Wood (#75), and even his Jerry Maguire co-star Jerry O'Connel, who only came in at number 70! On June 9 Jonathan was out in Hollywood attending the premiere of The Honeymooners at Grauman's Chinese Theatre. Photos are now available in the 2005 gallery here.

Mad Hot Ballroom Premiere

Yesterday, May 8, Jonathan was Paramount Studios in Los Angeles for the world premiere of Mad Hot Ballroom. Photos of Jonathan are now in the 2005 gallery here.

Kid's Day America

On Saturday, May 14, communities worldwide will participate in the 11th annual Kids Day America, a health, safety, and environmental awareness day. Total Health Chiropractic will sponsor this free event in Chattanooga at Memorial Auditorium from 11:00am until 2:00pm. Their new celebrity spokesperson is Jonathan Lipnicki, who regularly visits a Chiropractor.

"If you want to perform at your ultimate best, if you want to be the best you can be in sports and in school, mentally, physically - chiropractic is the way, because everything has to do with your nervous system, and if you can clear up any subluxation in there, you'll be pretty much OK." says Jonathan.

Jonathan is part of a public relations campaign launched by Drs. Theresa and Stuart Warner as part of their Kids Day America program. Lipnicki will be featured in public service announcements and on a variety of talk shows, with the intent to tell the public about the importance of chiropractic for children.

Tribeca Film Festival

Jonathan's latest indie-movie, The LA Riot Spectacular is proving a huge success at the Tribeca Film Festival, with one screening still left scheduled for 10:00pm tonight. Jonathan, along with the rest of the cast, attended the premiere in Stuyvesant High School Auditorium on Monday evening. Tonight, Jonathan will be attending the opening night special screening of Warner Bros. Duma, at the Cinerama Dome at ArcLight Theaters in Hollywood, as part of the Giffoni Film Festival. Giffoni International Film Festival officially starts tomorrow, April 29, and features a variety of films geared towards kids aged 9 - 17.

World Premiere Of The LA Riot Spectacular

On Monday, April 25 2005, The LA Riot Spectacular will be premiering in New York City as part of the 4th Annual Tribeca Film Festival. The two-week festival is running from April 19 - May 1 in NYC, and is currently scheduled to be screening The LA Riot Spectacular on the following dates:

Movie News

The shooting of Jonathan's latest movie project, Knights Of Impossingworth Park, has unfortunately been delayed. Filming was scheduled to begin in Vietnam this January, moving onto London by March. However, for unknown reasons, it appears that everything has been postponed until slightly later. As soon as more details are released they will be posted here.

Good news for fans of Zachary Beaver though; the film was previewed back in November 2004 at the American Film Market and since then has been showing at select theaters across the USA. The movie is continuing its tour of American movie theaters, with the next stop being Oakmont, Pennsylvania on March 25. If you live in the area and would like to see the movie contact the Oaks Theater on (412) 282-6311. National release also looks promising for some time later this year. Yesterday, Thursday January 20, Jonathan attended George W. Bush's Inaugural Ball in Washington, DC. The event was sold out with several celebrities in attendance to show their support of the president. According to The Guardian newspaper, 'Lipnicki, 14, voted for a restaurant with good guacamole over Washington's weightier sites when asked the favorite part of his visit to the city. "I liked the Rosa Mexicana," he said.'

Gone are Jonathan Lipnicki's trademark round glasses and short spiky hair. And with them have gone his opportunities for child roles in films and television series. Now 14, Lipnicki says he's looking forward to playing older characters and acting in more challenging material. "I knew I couldn't keep doing that routine forever, that I'd get too old for those kinds of parts. I'm simply moving forward with the next phase of my career. I'm going to prove what kind of actor I can be," he said during an interview in the lobby of Hotel Monaco.

Is Zachary Beaver Coming To Your Town?

As a trial run, before national release, When Zachary Beaver Came To Town will be showing in select towns throughout America as of this Friday, January 21 2005. The movie, shot in 2002, will be screened in Salt Lake City, Utah and Wichita, Kansas among others. The film's director John Schultz wants to see what a "typical family town" would think to the family-friendly movie, before it is shown to the rest of the country. The trial is simply due to low budget; because the movie was made independently, costing less than $2 million, immediate nationwide release would be a huge risk. So, if you are lucky enough to live in an area where When Zachary Beaver Came To Town is being previewed, make sure you take the opportunity to see this great movie.
