Q: We have loved him on the big screen since he was like, so small. A quick career retrospective of Jonathan, in the great movie Jerry Maguire. That is one perfect movie, and a pitch perfect performance by you. And did you know then that Renée Zellweger was going to be in it? That was like her first thing ever.
A: Well, she was just great to work with and... well, I was little then. I didn't really know much.
Q: [Laughs]
A: You know, I still don't remember too much but uh...
Q: You really have trouble remembering even doing that?
A: Well no. Well not... like, I remember some things. Like, a lot of the scenes stick out in my mind.
Q: Uh huh. Well now, you've grown up and done a lot of different things, obviously the movie with Zellweger. Now, last time you were here we put you to work technically. Of course, we have photos of Jonathan working the cameras and directing the whole thing. Now, that technical training, was that helpful? Has that helped you learn more about how to make movies and TV shows?
A: Well, actually I think yes. Yeah.
Q: Alright, so another movie that you're working on. Tell us about this flick Zachary Beaver. What's it about, When Zachary Beaver Came To Town?
A: Um, it's basically about this small boy in this small town in Texas who becomes friends with this 400 pound boy. And, I'm the boy in Texas, I'm not the 400 pound boy. But uh... it sounds kind of funny just how I'm saying but I'm just giving kind of a brief overview of it. It's just a great story.
Q: We're going to look at a little scene from it. A scene with you opposite a young woman and, you're... it's a bit of an accent for you. Is it more acting than you've ever done do you think?
A: Well you know, it was a challenge because it's sad in some parts. You know, it's a really interesting character.
Q: Let's take a look... it's called When Zachary Beaver Came To Town. [shows clip of Zachary Beaver] One of the crew guys is like, 'did you get her number?'
A: Well you know, we do have her number because that's just one of those, you know, cast and crew sheets but um yeah...
Q: [Laughs] He didn't ask her for her number! You just sliced her number!
A: No, we have a cast and crew sheet.
Q: Have you called her?
A: Well, you know. Uh... she's not really you know, my type! She's just really nice. She's nice, she's nice, but you know...
Q: You're still playing?
A: Yeah!
Q: [Looks at one of the women on the set] He just looked at you! Uh oh! He just looked at you!
A: [Laughs]
Q: Jonathan, the movie opens soon. It's really nice to see you. Jonathan has a bar mitzvah coming up this year. Lots of things to look forward to! You should ask us four, it would be hilarious!
A: I'll try it!
