JERRY MAGUIRE (1996)
(On The Set /
Promo / Screen Caps)
Official Synopsis
Jerry Maguire (Tom Cruise) is a top sports agent long on ambition but
short on scruples. After he suddenly and ceremoniously loses his job and
his fiancée, both his personal and professional lives hit an all-time
low. The only two people who stand by Jerry are his sole client Rod
Tidwell (Cuba Gooding Jr.), a second rank football player, and Dorothy
Boyd (Renée Zellweger), a single mother inspired by his zest for life.
Only through his shared journey to success with Rod and his relationship
with Dorothy and her son (Jonathan Lipnicki) does he begin to understand
the values that really matter.

Trivia
Jonathan was given the nickname El Fuego when on the set of Jerry
Maguire, which translates as "fire" in Spanish, because he always had so much energy.
A five-year-old Jonathan, however, suggested he was given this name because he was "such
a good actor."
Tom Cruise bought Jonathan some remote control toys to keep him happy in
between takes.
Jonathan showed up to the set one day telling everybody that the human
head weighed eight pounds. Director Cameron Crowe liked it so much he
had it written into the script. When
later questioned whether this piece of information was true Jonathan
said that actually, a human head is more like thirteen pounds! |
