He was
darling in Jerry Maguire and the
Stuart Little movies, but Jonathan Lipnicki,
now 13, knows he can't play that towheaded kid forever.
"This is a
different role for me. It's really a coming-of-age movie," said Lipnicki
about his new movie, When Zachary Beaver Came To Town which won the audience
award at this weekend's Newport festival. "That's the true meaning of an
actor, playing any role."
To prepare for adolescence - and the next phase
of his career - Lipnicki said he's watching Johnny Depp. "Benny And Joon
is my favorite movie," he said. "I haven't met Johnny, but I'd really
like to."
