Standing out among the elderly movie statesmen such as Steven Spielberg and Sydney Pollack is Jonathan Lipnicki. He's the kid who played the little boy in Jerry Maguire.

Eight-year-old Jonathan is still amazingly small. It's been two years since he made Jerry Maguire, and he doesn't look like he has grown at all. Crouching way down, I ask how Cruise inspired him, and he comes back with the most original answer of the evening.

He says, "I don't want to be drunk, I want to be just like him and be nice, and don't get drunk." I have no answer to that except, "Have a great time tonight ... and avoid the liquor."
